TLT Christmas Newsletter 2020
Congratulations to the class of 2019-2020. Against all the adversity our learners displayed true grit and determination. On behalf of the TLT team and myself we applaud the hard work and success of all TLT learners who have remained focused, supported our RDP programme throughout lock down and have achieved their skills qualifications. Well Done and we wish you every success as you embark on the next stage of your professional journey.
I reflect on 2020 As the world welcomed 2020 in with the traditional firework displays, each country competing for the most spectacular show, oblivious that the world was about to be gripped by the Corona Virus with COVID-19 dominating our every thought.
For families around the world this pandemic has meant anxiety for loved ones working on the front line, heartache, and loss, all of which I have first-hand experience, but we must also look at the good that has come from these troubled times. Communities have come together to support each other and those who are lonely and vulnerable, immeasurable acts of kindness and compassion, but above all an appreciation for those that really matter.
This virus does not differentiate from rich or poor, young or old, weak or strong, but the true heroes of the battle against COVID 19 are the front line workers, our amazing NHS, the suppliers that have kept us watered and fed and the scientists who, through their knowledge, skills and collaborative approach in developing a vaccine, giving us something to celebrate as we welcome in the New Year of 2021.
Sitting around our Christmas table with our loved ones let us raise our glass in gratitude to the NHS staff who are working tirelessly throughout the holiday period saving lives, all the victims of COVID and applaud some of those who through personal sacrifice made a difference such as Sir Tom Moore, Joe Wicks motivating our young to keep fit and the outstanding efforts of so many.
I raise my glass to you all and wish you a Happy, Healthy 2021 as we resume our way of life fulfilled and nourished with optimism for our future.
TLT has a face lift in support of social distancing we have reduced the class sizes to just 4 learners per group, the new style academy has been a hit with all TLT users.
